Project Battle Challenge: 31 Hari Berbagi Bacaan

Doing another challenge? I'm up for that!
A few days ago I was tempted to join a battle challenge, hosted by Ila Rizky and Esti Sulistyawan, fellow BBIers.

Here's the full rules.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All posts are posted on EST (New York) time zone. Which means the time stamp on everything is 11 hours behind the actual Indonesian (WIB) time. For example, the time stamp of first post is on August 1, 00.30 am, while actually, I wrote it on 11.30 am on WIB.

Anyway, to do this challenge, I needed a partner and I paired up with Nurina Widiani. Both me and Nurina (along with a few other participants) are going to make book reviews all month long (August), and whoever gets to write the most between me and Nurina, will get a reward from the loser. Simple. And definitely challenging! Because I want to read Unlawful Contact and I want that now! XD

I'm writing this post as my Master Post to keep track what I write on August 2016. I can't hardly wait. (Edited)
  1. Dark Sexy Knight by Katy Regnery
  2. Heart-Shaped Hack by Tracey Garvis-Graves
  3. Showmance by L.H. Cosway
  4. Shameless by Gina L. Maxwell
  5. Paper Princess by Erin Watt
  6. Into the Storm by Melanie Moreland
  7. Archangel's Enigma by Nalini Singh
  8. Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare
  9. Rock Redemption by Nalini Singh
  10. Anything But Minor by Kate Stewart
  11. Lingus by Mariana Zapata
  12. Fisher's Light by Tara Sivec
  13. Blood to Dust by L.J. Shen
  14. Wild Embrace by Nalini Singh
Well, I lost to Nurina XD She reviewed 21 books, and so, I have to give her the reward. But I had fun and it was a good challenge for me because I managed to review some books I haven't reviewed yet.

Thank you for Ila Rizky and Esti Sulistyawan for hosting this challenge :)
Though to be honest, I'm not joining next time, hehe XD

BBI Holiday Reading List

Hey, guys.
Did you have a nice and happy holiday? :) I can't say I did, because my house was broken into and I lost TWO of my laptops. It has been a hard month for me, to say the least. I haven't even been able to read many books this month.

I always suck on following through my reading plans. They usually went to hell when I discovered a new something or the prologue doesn't catch my attention.

I posted my reading plan on Instagram, and because I've been busy, I couldn't make a master post sooner.

The only thing I finished from that list was Heart-Shaped Hack by Tracey Garvis-Graves. Though, on my count, in July I finished Into The Blue by Chanel Cleeton, Extreme Exposure by Pamela Clare, and Dark Sexy Knight by Katy Regnery. So basically, even though I didn't finish my reading plan, I still managed to read 4 books. Oh damn, now on August I gotta finish the other remaining books :|

I wish you a happy holiday, summer or otherwise :)

From the author of Fly with Me and the Capital Confessions Novels comes the newest in the sexy Wild Aces Romance series.

Eric Jansen—call sign Thor—loves nothing more than pushing his F-16 to the limit. Returning home to South Carolina after a tragic loss, he hopes to fix the mistake he made long ago, when he chose the Air Force over his fiancée.

Becca Madison isn’t quick to welcome Thor back. She can’t forget how he shattered her heart. But Thor won’t give up once he’s set his sights on what he wants—and he wants Becca.

Thor shows Becca that he’s no longer the impulsive boy he used to be, and Becca finds herself irresistibly drawn to him. But will Thor be able to walk away from his dream of flying the F-16 for their love or does his heart belong to the sky?

Into The Blue is the first book of Chanel Cleeton I've read. This book also made me look at her other books, like Capital Confessions. Because honestly, this book is pretty good. Usually, I'm not a big fan of second-chance romance. But Into The Blue definitely met my expectations.

Eric 'Thor' Jansen didn't expect to meet his ex-fiancée again when he got home after an assignment. Breaking up with Becca Madison back when they were younger still hurts. But when he sees Becca again, he wonders if he could have a second chance with the girl he's never gotten over with.

I didn’t know how to start over and I didn’t know how to just be friends, and I was terrified to let him past the electrified manned-by-vicious man-eating-dogs fence I’d built around my heart.

Different directions in life had taken the toll on Becca and Eric's relationship, and Becca knows being with Eric again will only hurt her--again. The second chance they took on their love will either make them or destroy them both. Because neither is ready to give up, not after a decade of misery.
